Author & Illustrator

Tina Gollings is a Washington State native, who grew up chasing rainbows with her brothers and sister on five acres of forested land. She decided to become a writer as a second grader and now teaches the second grade at a private school in Tacoma. Tina has twice been a Cascade Contest winner in the categories of Unpublished Science Fiction and Children’s Non-Fiction. She has also twice been a Cascade Contest Finalist with a children’s book, Little Flame, Big Light and a middle grade novel, Soul House. Tina currently serves on the board of a local writer’s group, serving fellow authors in the Pacific Northwest. Tina Gollings is also a gifted artist and illustrator, who especially loves helping authors bring their writing to life through line art and maps. In addition to producing line art illustrations for several books, Tina won first place in a juried art scholarship through the Sidney Art Gallery which was applied to her studies at the University of Washington. She has had art pieces published in a local newspaper, won second place in a logo design competition and has had art-work displayed in the Jacob Lawrence Gallery at the University of Washington.
